Since the end of World War II, the US has repeatedly intervened in the political life of countries across the globe. Up until now, about 50 cases of Washington's direct interference in foreign countries' elections have been recorded. The US uses different tactics: coups, political assassinations, funding of the opposition, blackmail, bribery and, last but not least, propaganda.
